Learning, leading and belonging: peer mentoring at Trinity

Peer mentoring is firmly embedded in the fabric of life at Trinity, helping to build connections across year levels and foster a strong sense of community.

Through the Buddy Programs, cross-age activities, Outdoor Education Programs, leadership roles and other initiatives, students are encouraged to support one another and contribute to the growth and success of those around them.

One example is the Peer Mentoring Program, where Year 10 students support Year 7 students as they transition to Senior School. Through guidance, encouragement and shared experiences, mentors help younger students build confidence, develop a sense of belonging and make the most of the opportunities available to them, while strengthening their own leadership and communication skills.

In this video, Teacher in Charge of Peer Mentoring, Alanna Zaluski, is joined by a former mentor, Ketan, Year 11 and former mentee, Veer, Year 8 to reflect on their experiences and the impact of the program on both mentors and mentees.
